What the crap?!?!

What the heck is Referendum 1? Why do a bunch of Utah teachers hate it and why do a bunch of parents love it? What is up with the commercials? Who is right and who is wrong? I guess that is for all of us to decide. Well, here are some great articles and clips to consider. My thoughts are at the bottom.

PDF Copy of Referendum 1

PDF Voter Info. Pamphlet

After reading through these documents, and watching the KSL news report, I believe Referendum 1 is worth voting for. It seems like the money allotment will go to children who can qualify for scholarships. Those who continue to go to public schools will benefit by having lower class sizes for an additional five years. All in all, there are winners on both ends. Of course, re-allocating Utah's general budget might have all kinds of different effects, only time will tell what will come of it. If this is intended to be implemented as a test, then lets test it and see how it works.

Let me know your opinion. Am I wrong? Have I missed something? Do you have something to add? Let me know.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://blog.researchbubble.com/2007/11/referendum-1-what-crap_05.html' title='Referendum 1?????
